Summary

A directory traversal vulnerability exists in the Import/Export function of the Portal Site Manager in Apache Jetspeed before version 2.3.1. This issue allows remote authenticated admins to manipulate the file system by crafting specially designed ZIP archive entries that contain path traversal sequences (e.g., '..'). As a result, it can lead to writing arbitrary files on the server, potentially enabling the execution of malicious code.

Exploit Proof of Concept (PoC)

PoC code is written by security researchers to demonstrate the vulnerability can be exploited. PoC code is also a key component for weaponization which could lead to ransomware.
