What is CVE-2016-0896?

The vulnerability in Pivotal Cloud Foundry Elastic Runtime allows remote attackers to bypass critical network-connectivity restrictions. Specifically, the inclusion of the IP range 169.254.0.0/16 in the all_open Application Security Group could enable unauthorized access to the 169.254.169.254 address. This flaw, present in versions prior to 1.6.34 and 1.7.x before 1.7.12, poses significant risks for organizations relying on this platform.
