What is CVE-2016-10128?

The vulnerability occurs in the git_pkt_parse_line function within the Git Smart Protocol support of libgit2. It allows remote attackers to exploit a buffer overflow via a crafted non-flush packet, potentially leading to a disruption of service or unauthorized command execution if an application uses this faulty version of libgit2.
