Remote Content Manipulation Vulnerability in libgrss by GNOME
CVE-2016-20011
7.5HIGH
What is CVE-2016-20011?
The libgrss library, up to version 0.7.0, exhibits a severe flaw where it fails to verify TLS certificates during the downloading of feeds. This behavior can be exploited by remote attackers to alter feed content undetected, as the default settings of SoupSessionSync do not enforce proper certificate validation. Consequently, users relying on libgrss for secure feed handling are potentially exposed to malicious content manipulation.
