What is CVE-2016-20043?
NRSS RSS Reader version 0.3.9-1 is susceptible to a stack buffer overflow vulnerability. This flaw allows local attackers to execute arbitrary code by providing an oversized argument to the -F parameter. By crafting malicious input that consists of 256 bytes of padding followed by a controlled EIP value, attackers can successfully overwrite the return address, enabling them to execute arbitrary code on the affected system.
