What is CVE-2016-20104?
The EyeLock Nano NXT firmware versions 3.05.1193, 3.04.1108, 3.03.944, and 3.01.646 are susceptible to a path traversal vulnerability. This flaw permits unauthenticated attackers to read arbitrary files from the server by manipulating the 'path' parameter in GET requests directed at /scripts/logdownload.php. By employing traversal sequences such as ../../etc/passwd, attackers can leverage the unvalidated input to expose sensitive files on the local system, potentially leading to serious security breaches. Recent observations by the Shadowserver Foundation highlight the possible exploitation of this vulnerability.
Affected Version(s)
