What is CVE-2016-2147?

An integer overflow vulnerability in the DHCP client (udhcpc) of BusyBox prior to version 1.25.0 can be exploited by remote attackers. By sending a malformed RFC1035-encoded domain name, an attacker may trigger a denial of service condition by causing an out-of-bounds write to the heap memory. This could result in unexpected crashes, compromising the availability of the service.
