What is CVE-2016-2379?

The Mxit protocol suffers from a vulnerability arising from the implementation of weak encryption techniques for user passwords. This allows for potential exploitation by attackers, who can decrypt hashed passwords by utilizing knowledge of client registration codes. Additionally, attackers may intercept login messages to gain unauthorized access by reusing the decrypted hashed passwords, posing a significant risk to user accounts and personal information.
