What is CVE-2016-3048?

IBM OpenPages GRC Platform versions 7.1, 7.2, and 7.3 are susceptible to a cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability. This flaw enables attackers to inject arbitrary JavaScript code into the web interface, potentially compromising the application's intended functionality. By exploiting this vulnerability, attackers could manipulate the web UI to extract sensitive information, such as user credentials, thereby posing a significant risk to users within a trusted session.
