CVE-2016-5328
5.5MEDIUM
What is CVE-2016-5328?
A vulnerability in VMware Tools for OS X versions 9.x and 10.x prior to 10.1.0 allows local users, when System Integrity Protection (SIP) is enabled, to access kernel memory addresses. This vulnerability enables a bypass of the kernel address space layout randomization (kASLR) protection mechanism through unspecified methods. When exploited, this could lead to other attacks by revealing sensitive memory information.
