Local users of VMware Identity Manager and vRealize Automation are able to exploit certain unpatched vectors to gain root access within the system. This vulnerability affects versions of VMware Identity Manager prior to 2.7 and vRealize Automation prior to 7.1, potentially compromising system integrity and security by allowing unauthorized users elevated rights.
