What is CVE-2016-5393?

In Apache Hadoop versions 2.6.x prior to 2.6.5 and 2.7.x prior to 2.7.3, an authenticated remote user can exploit weaknesses in the HDFS NameNode. This vulnerability allows the user to execute arbitrary commands with the same privileges as the HDFS service.
