What is CVE-2016-5639?

The Crestron AirMedia AM-100 devices are susceptible to a directory traversal vulnerability, specifically in the cgi-bin/login.cgi component. When running firmware versions prior to 1.4.0.13, attackers can exploit this vulnerability by manipulating the src parameter with the '..' (dot dot) syntax. This exploitation allows unauthorized remote access to arbitrary files on the device, posing a significant security risk.
