What is CVE-2016-5697?

The ruby-saml library prior to version 1.3.0 is susceptible to XML signature wrapping attacks. This vulnerability could be exploited by an attacker to manipulate the SAML assertions without being detected, potentially compromising user authentication and allowing unauthorized access to sensitive data.
