What is CVE-2016-6463?
A vulnerability exists in the email filtering capabilities of the Cisco AsyncOS Software used in Cisco Email Security Appliances. The flaw allows unauthenticated remote attackers to bypass Advanced Malware Protection (AMP) filters when they are configured to scan incoming email attachments. Devices running versions prior to the first fixed release are susceptible to this issue, impacting both virtual and hardware versions of the product. Proper configuration of AMP filters is essential to mitigate this risk.
