What is CVE-2016-6518?
A memory leak vulnerability exists in several Huawei networking devices including the S9300, S5300, S5700, S6700, S7700, S9700, and S12700 series. This flaw allows remote attackers to exploit the issue by sending a significant number of malformed packets to the affected devices. The outcome of this attack can lead to memory consumption that causes the device to restart, resulting in potential service disruption and denial of network availability.
