What is CVE-2016-7144?

The m_authenticate function within UnrealIRCd versions prior to 3.2.10.7 and 4.x before 4.0.6 is susceptible to a remote authentication spoofing vulnerability. Attackers can exploit this issue by crafting an AUTHENTICATE parameter, allowing them to bypass certificate fingerprint verification and gain unauthorized access as another user.
