CVE-2016-7144
8.1HIGH
What is CVE-2016-7144?
The m_authenticate function within UnrealIRCd versions prior to 3.2.10.7 and 4.x before 4.0.6 is susceptible to a remote authentication spoofing vulnerability. Attackers can exploit this issue by crafting an AUTHENTICATE parameter, allowing them to bypass certificate fingerprint verification and gain unauthorized access as another user. This flaw poses significant risks to server integrity, as it enables potential impersonation and unauthorized actions by malicious parties.
