What is CVE-2016-7902?
An unrestricted file upload vulnerability exists in the Dotclear Media Manager, specifically in the fileUnzip->unzip method found in versions prior to 2.10.3. This flaw allows an authenticated remote user, possessing permissions to manage media items, to upload malicious ZIP files that may contain files with deceptive extensions, such as .php.txt or .php%20. Exploiting this vulnerability can lead to the execution of arbitrary code on the server, posing a significant risk to the integrity of the affected application and its data.
