Memory Leak Vulnerability in Huawei CloudEngine Switches
CVE-2016-8782
5.3MEDIUM
What is CVE-2016-8782?
The Huawei CloudEngine 12800 series switches are susceptible to a memory leak vulnerability due to improper validation in the Label Distribution Protocol (LDP) processing module. An unauthenticated attacker can exploit this vulnerability by repeatedly sending specially crafted LDP packets to the devices. As a result, the memory remains unallocated, leading to performance degradation and potentially affecting the stability of the network services.
