What is CVE-2016-8819?

A vulnerability exists in the NVIDIA Windows GPU Display Driver due to improper handling of user requests to the kernel mode layer (nvlddmkm.sys). This flaw allows a handle to a kernel object to be returned to the user space, potentially enabling attackers to execute denial of service attacks or escalate user privileges, compromising system integrity and security.
