What is CVE-2016-8946?

IBM Emptoris Sourcing versions 9.5.x through 10.1.x are susceptible to cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks. This vulnerability enables attackers to inject arbitrary JavaScript code into the Web UI. As a result, the functionality of the application can be altered, potentially leading to the disclosure of sensitive user credentials within a trusted session. Users of affected versions are advised to apply necessary security updates to mitigate this risk.
