CVE-2016-9131
7.5HIGH
What is CVE-2016-9131?
This vulnerability in ISC BIND versions prior to 9.9.9-P5, 9.10.4-P5, and 9.11.0-P2 allows remote attackers to exploit malformed RTYPE ANY query responses. This leads to assertion failures that can cause the BIND daemon to terminate unexpectedly, thereby resulting in denial of service. Network administrators should ensure they are using updated versions of the software to mitigate these risks.
