What is CVE-2016-9404?

A Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability exists in MyBB, a popular forum software, prior to version 1.8.7. This security flaw potentially enables remote attackers to execute arbitrary web scripts or HTML code by manipulating user inputs associated with the login process. If exploited, this vulnerability can compromise user sessions and lead to unauthorized access.
