Summary

A security flaw exists in the Ceph Object Gateway's handling of cross-origin HTTP requests when a CORS policy allows origin access on a bucket. This vulnerability permits remote unauthenticated attackers to exploit the flaw, potentially leading to a denial of service. Specifically, an attacker can craft and send a malicious cross-origin HTTP request, which may disrupt service availability. Ceph branches 1.3.x and 2.x are specifically affected by this issue.
