What is CVE-2016-9595?

A vulnerability exists in Katello Debug versions before 3.4.0 that permits a local user to exploit insecure handling of temporary files. By conducting a symbolic-link attack, the attacker can overwrite arbitrary files on the system, potentially compromising sensitive data and impacting system functionality.
