What is CVE-2016-9839?

In versions of MapServer prior to 7.0.3, the OGR driver can produce overly verbose error messages when data connection attempts fail. These error messages may inadvertently disclose sensitive information, which could be exploited by attackers to gain insights into the underlying system or database configurations.
