What is CVE-2017-0280?

A vulnerability exists in Microsoft Server Message Block 1.0 (SMBv1) that could allow a remote attacker to cause a denial of service. By sending specially crafted requests to the SMB server, an attacker may disrupt service and render the server inoperable.
