What is CVE-2017-1000091?

The GitHub Branch Source Plugin in Jenkins contains an improper permission check that allows authenticated users with Overall/Read access to connect to any web server by specifying a malicious GitHub API URL. This flaw can enable unauthorized access to sensitive information, including credentials. Furthermore, it permits actions without the necessity of POST requests, making it vulnerable to Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF), potentially compromising system security.
