What is CVE-2017-11335?
In LibTIFF version 4.0.8, a heap-based buffer overflow vulnerability exists in the tiff2pdf tool. This issue occurs when using a PlanarConfig=Contig image, leading to an out-of-bounds write of over one hundred bytes through the ZIPDecode function in tif_zip.c. A specially crafted input can exploit this vulnerability, potentially enabling remote denial of service attacks or arbitrary code execution, posing significant security risks to affected systems.
