Remote Code Execution in D-Link EyeOn Baby Monitor by D-Link
CVE-2017-11563
What is CVE-2017-11563?
The D-Link EyeOn Baby Monitor (DCS-825L) version 1.08.1 contains a remotely exploitable vulnerability due to the presence of a UDP 'Discover' service. This service allows an attacker to exploit stack overflow conditions through specially crafted UDP requests directed at the device's finderd process. Successful exploitation grants an attacker root-level access, enabling arbitrary code execution, which poses a significant risk to user privacy and system integrity. Users are advised to follow security best practices and consider updating their devices to mitigate potential threats.
