What is CVE-2017-11695?
A vulnerability exists in Mozilla Network Security Services (NSS) due to a heap-based buffer overflow in the alloc_segs function, located in the file lib/dbm/src/hash.c. This flaw allows attackers to exploit the system through a specially crafted cert8.db file. Successful exploitation of this vulnerability could lead to unpredictable behavior, potentially enabling an attacker to manipulate the underlying system context.
