What is CVE-2017-11747?

Tinyproxy versions 1.8.4 and prior have a vulnerability in which the application creates a PID file at /run/tinyproxy/tinyproxy.pid after dropping privileges to a non-root account. This configuration can be exploited by local users who possess access to the non-root account. By modifying this PID file before a root-level script executes a command to terminate processes associated with the PID, an attacker can potentially kill arbitrary processes, posing a significant security risk to the integrity of system operations.
