What is CVE-2017-12139?

The XOOPS Core version 2.5.8 is vulnerable to a stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) attack due to insufficient validation of MIME types in the uploader component. This flaw is located in the imagemanager.php file, allowing attackers to store malicious scripts that could be executed in the context of different users' browsers.
