What is CVE-2017-12481?

The find_option function in option.cc of Ledger 3.1.1 contains a vulnerability that can be exploited by remote attackers. By supplying a specially crafted file, attackers may trigger a stack-based buffer overflow, leading to a denial of service. This vulnerability might result in the application crashing, interrupting service and potentially affecting users relying on the software.
