What is CVE-2017-12862?

A vulnerability exists in OpenCV related to a buffer overflow caused by a miscalculation in the size of the AutoBuffer _src in the imgcodecs module. This may lead to the possibility of remote code execution or denial of service when an attacker is able to supply a specially crafted image from a remote source. Affected versions include OpenCV 3.3 and earlier.
