What is CVE-2017-12941?

An out-of-bounds read vulnerability exists in the libunrar.a component of UnRAR prior to version 5.5.7. This flaw occurs in the Unpack::Unpack20 function, potentially allowing an attacker to read sensitive data outside the intended memory boundaries. As a result, this may lead to information disclosure or other unintended behaviors in applications utilizing this library.
