What is CVE-2017-14032?

ARM Mbed TLS prior to version 1.3.21 and 2.x prior to version 2.1.9 is susceptible to a serious vulnerability that enables remote attackers to bypass peer authentication under certain configurations. Specifically, this occurs when optional authentication is set up and the attacker leverages an X.509 certificate chain containing multiple intermediates. It is important to note that earlier versions branded as PolarSSL are not susceptible to this issue.
