What is CVE-2017-15239?

A vulnerability in the IrfanView 4.44 - 32bit version with PDF plugin version 4.43 allows attackers to trigger a denial of service. This can be accomplished by exploiting a crafted .pdf file, leading to potential disruptions. The issue has been linked to improper handling of data, where data from a faulting address might be unexpectedly used as a return value in the PDF processing module.
