What is CVE-2017-15602?

In GNU Libextractor versions 1.4 and 1.6, an integer signedness error in the EXTRACTOR_nsfe_extract_method function within the nsfe_extractor plugin can cause an infinite loop. This vulnerability arises when a specially crafted chunk size is provided, which disrupts normal processing and leads to potential denial-of-service situations. Proper validation of input sizes is essential to mitigate this risk.
