What is CVE-2017-15894?
A directory traversal vulnerability exists in the SYNO.FileStation.Extract function of Synology DiskStation Manager (DSM). This flaw allows authenticated remote users to gain unauthorized access to the file system, enabling them to write arbitrary files through manipulation of the dest_folder_path parameter. Such vulnerabilities pose significant risks, as they can lead to data exposure and potential compromise of system integrity.
