What is CVE-2017-16413?
A buffer overflow vulnerability exists in Adobe Acrobat and Reader due to improper handling of TIFF files during the XPS to PDF conversion process. This vulnerability arises from an out of range pointer offset that can be exploited to access unintended memory locations. An attacker can potentially use this flaw to corrupt sensitive data or execute arbitrary code, posing a significant risk to users of affected versions of the software.
