What is CVE-2017-17419?
A vulnerability in Quest NetVault Backup permits remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on affected installations. This security issue arises from improper validation of user-supplied strings in the NVBUTransferHistory Get method, leading to SQL query construction vulnerabilities. Exploiting this flaw does not require user authentication, allowing attackers to manipulate the underlying database system directly.
