What is CVE-2017-17652?

A vulnerability has been identified in Quest NetVault Backup 11.3.0.12 which allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code. This flaw arises from inadequate validation of user-supplied input in the NVBUBackup Count method. An attacker can exploit this vulnerability by crafting specific requests that lead to the manipulation of SQL queries, potentially gaining access to the database and executing commands. Importantly, this security flaw does not require authentication, making it particularly dangerous.
