What is CVE-2017-17655?
A flaw in Quest NetVault Backup permits remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on vulnerable systems without the necessity for authentication. The vulnerability arises from inadequate validation of a user-supplied string in the NVBUBackup PluginList method. Due to this oversight, attackers can manipulate SQL queries, potentially allowing them to execute code within the context of the underlying database, thereby compromising the application's integrity.
