What is CVE-2017-18217?

An identified vulnerability in InvoicePlane versions before 1.5.5 allows for Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) attacks via insecure handling of email address and web address parameters. This issue is linked to specific areas within the application such as application/modules/clients/views/view.php, application/modules/invoices/views/view.php, and application/modules/quotes/views/view.php. Exploiting this vulnerability could allow attackers to execute arbitrary JavaScript in the context of an affected user's session, potentially compromising sensitive data.
