What is CVE-2017-2833?

A command injection vulnerability is present in the web management interface of the Foscam C1 Indoor HD Camera when running firmware version 2.52.2.37. Attackers can exploit this flaw by sending a specially crafted HTTP request that injects arbitrary shell commands during the boot process of the device. This could allow malicious actors to execute unauthorized commands on the system, compromising its integrity and security. Mitigating this risk requires updating the device firmware and restricting access to the management interface.
