What is CVE-2017-2849?
An input validation vulnerability exists in the web management interface of Foscam C1 Indoor HD cameras. This flaw allows an attacker to craft a specially formatted HTTP request during the configuration of the NTP server, enabling the injection of arbitrary shell commands. By exploiting this vulnerability, attackers can send malicious HTTP requests to the device, potentially gaining unauthorized control.
