What is CVE-2017-2889?

A vulnerability exists in the API daemon of Circle with Disney running firmware 2.0.1, where a large number of simultaneous TCP connections can exploit the daemon, leading it to fork repeatedly. This excessive forking can exhaust memory resources, culminating in a device reboot. Attackers require network access to the device to successfully trigger this issue, potentially disrupting its availability.
