What is CVE-2017-3887?
A vulnerability exists in the detection engine of Cisco Firepower System Software that processes SSL packets. This flaw can be exploited by an unauthenticated, remote attacker to induce a denial of service (DoS) condition, leading to an unexpected restart of the Snort process. The issue arises specifically when the software is configured with an SSL Decrypt-Resign policy. Affected versions include 6.0.1, 6.1.0, and 6.2.0, with specific fixed releases addressing the issue.
