Integer Overflow in FFmpeg Affects Google Chrome on Multiple Platforms

Summary

An integer overflow vulnerability in the FFmpeg component of Google Chrome prior to version 57.0.2987.98 for Mac, Windows, and Linux, as well as prior to version 57.0.2987.108 for Android, exposes users to potential attacks. By exploiting this flaw through a specially crafted video file, an attacker could execute an out of bounds memory write, which may lead to unauthorized access or control over the affected systems. Users are encouraged to update their browser to mitigate these risks.
